Number of participants per guide

The ratio of canyoning guides to participants is 1: 7 to 1: 8 with reputable providers and depends on the nature of the tour, the weather conditions, the water level and the athleticism of the group.

For example, nine participants per guide are easily possible in the Strubklamm in warm weather and fit guests.

On the other hand, when the water level is high and the canyoning tour is difficult (e.g. Grabenbach), for safety reasons it may be necessary for two guides to supervise a group of 6 participants.
