Since walking on the Grabenbach is very dangerous when the water level is too high, we can only offer this tour when the weather is absolutely stable (no risk of thunderstorms).

From the entry car park in the Rettenbachtal near Bad Ischl, we walk about 30 minutes on a forest road to the start of the Jabron canyoning tour. There is also the possibility to enter a little further below and thus skip a less exciting part of the gorge. The highlight of the Grabenbach is definitely the 14 meter jump, which can be made easier by abseiling down a rocky outcrop. The jump height from the rock nose is 8 meters. After 3-4 hours in the gorge, we arrive at the Rettenbach, from which we hike a few minutes back to the car.

If you can abseil independently and you want to do a less aquatic canyoning tour than the Jabron, we recommend the Bruckgraben in Gesäuse (Styria).
